Early Life and Education

Susan Menke was born in Cuero, Texas. She was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, Venezuela, and Rockport, Texas. Later, she moved to East Texas, where she graduated from Longview High School.

Ms. Menke graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in just three years. Upon graduation, she moved to Houston, where she taught elementary school for four and one-half years.

A highlight of her career was when her students were featured on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson.

Hobbies

Miss Menke enjoys her career so much that she considers it a hobby. She enjoys the broad spectrum of people she meets and finds her job so rewarding when she finds a Buyer for a property she has listed.
Miss Menke also has an animal rescue operation where she is passionate about rescuing homeless animals who need a helping and loving hand.
Miss Menke has been a prolific student of the Holy Bible since she was a small child. She would walk down the sidewalk looking for "Big Kids" who would read her the Bible that she held in her arms. Today she owes all her success to her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Miss Menke enjoys creating beautiful spaces and immerses herself in interior design. Beautiful silk fabrics from France are her favorites.
Miss Menke enjoys working out at the Houstonian where she is a charter member, and taking long walks around her neighborhood.
Miss Menke frequently goes to Italy where she enjoys her leisure walks along cobblestone streets and glancing over turquoise waters.

Entry Into Real Estate

While teaching school, Ms. Menke leased apartments for Gary Levering on Saturdays. It was Mr. Levering who encouraged her to go back to school and earn her real estate license. She later formed her own company, “Susan Menke Real Estate.”

Over the course of her career, Ms. Menke represented the Honorable Robert A. Mosbacher, former U.S. Secretary of Commerce, under the Bush administration for 21 years. Ms. Menke represented Jerold Springer and Don Riddle for 10 years, buying and selling investment land.
